Ce texte vise à comprendre les concepts d’intelligence dans les lectures des auteurs Henri Bergson et Jean Piaget, en analysant les points convergents et divergents liés à leurs théories. Cette analyse vise d’abord à décrire la structure, les fonctions, les limites, le développement et l’origine de l’intelligence, dans la mesure où ils sont les objets de recherche de chacun de ces auteurs, avec en toile de fond la question de la création. En effet, Bergson aborde l’intelligence comme un mode d’action de l’homme sur le milieu dans lequel il s’insère, à travers la fabrication d’objets qui peuvent permettre et faciliter son action. En ce sens, l’intelligence favorise une action éminemment pratique, d’abord déterminée par les intérêts de la survie humaine. Piaget, pour sa part, attire l’attention sur le fait que l’intelligence est un processus dans lequel nous partons d’un niveau de connaissance inférieur pour construire un niveau de connaissance supérieur, dans lequel l’être humain assimile les stimuli fournis par l’environnement et les adapte, en équilibrant et en adaptant les nouvelles connaissances aux connaissances existantes dans un processus appelé équilibration.
