Hope has nothing to do with your past, nothing to do with your present, but has everything to do with your future. That’s not to say that your hope isn’t impacted by your past and your present, just that hope is looking ahead and not behind. It’s my belief that hope and faith have a unique intersection in which one can’t be explained without mentioning the other. I’ve seen and been through too much to not have faith in God which is where my hope resides. Each and every quote came from a real moment in life, whether from lived experiences, observations, or studying the Bible. It took 13 years to write this but, actually, no but, that’s it! It took me 13 years to write and hope is what pushed me through.Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, David Underwood received his Bachelors in Social Work from PennWest Edinboro and Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. David is a husband and a father of two sons. David’s education, employment and passion for social work and child welfare are directly correlated with his own lived experience in child welfare. It is within this that David’s passion for hope resides. David is an Associate Minister at Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania.Contact InformationEmail: dunderwood1989@gmail.comPhone Number (412) 862-0461Social Media Facebook: David UnderwoodLinkedIn: David Underwood, MSW
