Le présent mémoire prétend étudier la mise en uvre de la paix en Colombie par les Nations Unies. Pour ce faire, une introduction historique aux acteurs du conflit colombien est dabord présentée. Ce chapitre introductif montrera, dès le début, que le processus de paix qui a eu lieu nétait pas simplement une négociation de paix entre un État souverain et immaculé et une guérilla qui sest rebellée contre celui-ci, mais une négociation entre deux acteurs actifs du conflit armé. De la même manière, cette introduction permettra de préciser que lAccord de paix a été conclu non pas entre le gouvernement colombien et la guérilla mais entre le gouvernement colombien et une des guérillas. Ensuite, la nature juridique de linstrument instituant la paix en Colombie, lAccord de paix, va être établie après avoir déterminé le statut juridique de chacune des parties à lAccord, notamment celui des FARC-EP. Enfin, la fonction accomplie par les Nations Unies dans limplémentation de lAccord de paix sera déterminée, ainsi que létude approfondie des mandats de chacune des Missions.
