International Conference on Health in the African Diaspora (ICHAD) was a multidisciplinary conference that explored the health condition of African descendants and what could be done to improve their health outcomes. e conference addressed a range of intersecting topics, including maternal and child health, chronic disease, HIV/AIDS, genetics, health policy, healthcare access and quality, and the many social determinants of health such as social habitat, dietary patterns, racism, culture, and history.
