Il volume è un documento ( completato dall’ intiero apporto di fotografie della edizione del 1938) , ma è anche un testo letterario, perché lo Squadrismo è presentato attraverso la penna dei protagonisti, fra cui si annoverano squadristi di elevato spessore culturale e con grandi capacità narrative, fra cui Italo Balbo , Piero Bolzon, Roberto Farinacci, Giuseppe Bottai e lo stesso Asvero Gravelli, saggista e scrittore oggi riscoperto da vari versanti. Pagine al fulmicotone, ma anche attenta retrospezione dello spirito squadrista e degli ideali che lo animavano, alla riscossa di una Nazione che, vincitrice di un conflitto mondiale, veniva umiliata e annichilita dagli stessi alleati di guerra, traditori come sempre. Una ampia presentazione dello storico Giacinto Reale vi farà rivivere momenti storici che la cancel cultur vuole distruggere in eterno.
