This is a truly unique collection of some of the most beautiful Indian poetry ever produced, and is not to be missed by any discerning collectors. Contents include: “The Sports of Krishna”, “The Penitence of Krishna”, “Krishna Troubled”, “Krishna Cheered”, “The Longings of Krishna”, “Krishna made Bolder”, “Krishna Supposed False”, “The Rebuking of Krishna”, “The End of Krishna’s Trial”, “Krishna in Paradise”, etcetera. Sir Edwin Arnold (1832 - 1904), was an English journalist and poet. He is most famous for his book “The Light of Asia”. Many vintage texts such as this, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are increasingly hard to come by and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this book now in an affordable, modern, high quality edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.

The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...
