Ibn-e-Insha was a distinguished columnist, writer, translator, humorist and poet. He studied Hindi literature deeply. Ibn-e-Insha has left a vast collection of works and compilations based on travelogues, translations and poetry in Urdu literature. Khaleel ur Rahman Azmi was a poet and critic of Urdu and was associated with the movement of progressive writers. He is counted among the founders of modern Urdu ghazal. Ibne Insha of Karachi and Azmi of Aligarh became the pen-friend of each other because of their equal mental ideas.
