Este trabajo recopilatorio pretende contar la historia de la marca SEAT a través de los modelos lanzados al mercado, en sus distintas fechas y coincidiendo con el momento del automóvil en España. Es la historia de SEAT, pero también de sus fábricas en Barcelona y de la España de la dictadura, entre los años 1950 y 1975. En un segundo volumen hablaremos de la historia de SEAT en la democracia. Este libro, por tanto, contiene la evolución a través de estos 60 años de existencia, teniendo en cuenta que ha marcado el camino de la motorización y el acercamiento entre los pueblos y ciudades, en otro tiempo lejanos, por la falta de medios de transporte propios. Pero SEAT es mucho más que el masivo 600 o el pionero 1400. Es la historia de la primera industria automovilística española y una parte de la historia de todos nosotros.
