George William Warvelle, 1852-1940, was a legalparagon in his time; a Professor of Law in Chicago; aprominent legal scholar; and the author of many lawvolumes still in print and found in law offices andlibraries today. This book was first published in 1902 inan era of no radio, no TV, or other electronicwastelands; an era when man communicated withconversation, reading and writing. The book is by alawyer and was aimed at the then law students andpracticing lawyers; however, the lessons therein are ofhistorical interest to any lawyer or scholarly persontoday.
