Anyone who deals with Europe in the initial and further training of teachers/adults in civic education and human rights education cannot avoid dealing with European educational concepts. The European project can be approached from many angles. The author has opted for this dimension of consideration. Impulses arose from the professional examination of the subject areas mentioned, the completion of the two university courses Political Education and Intercultural Competence, from the study of specialist literature, from EU Comenius projects and an ERASMUS teacher internship with contacts to other school systems/pre-vocational education and the necessary interdisciplinary approach to the topic in adult education/adult pedagogy, which raises awareness of the complex of topics. For civic education, education in the form of basic, further and continuing education is of particular interest in the European context.Social processes, cultural attitudes and economic developments play a key role in the implementation of education in Europe in particular.
