This book is a photographic account of Deia, an artist colony in Mallorca, Spain. A combination of photos and text captures the beauty of a peasant village, which has been , for a long time, a favorite place for artists. Many American artists have gone there, to study after WW II, using there G.I. Bill of Rights to pay their way. There are several galleries and frequent exhibitions. As an artist colony Deya has attracted many tourists.
