There is no doubt that distance education and online learning have become an option with high possibilities of continuing to be used by educational institutions at all levels. The knowledge and use of new technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge that education had to face in order not to suspend or lose the school cycle and with it the students.Nowadays, the use of electronic devices is an indispensable competence for insertion in society and access to the labor market, and universities must now include different strategies and innovative teaching methodologies to develop digital skills and abilities in students.Distance education is here to stay as a complement to face-to-face classes. It is nothing new and innovative, but now it will be the education of the future due to the infinite advantages it offers and the ease of integrating work teams globally, the reduction of mobility for travel, access to information, courses, workshops or academic events synchronously or asynchronously, and considerable cost savings.
