This collection of poetry has a dark attitude and deals with solitude, loneliness, apprehension, love, sadness, life & death, fading memories, fear and the art of nightmare, silence, insomnia and poetry and how poetry helps, but poetry can be many things not necessarily words but art, music, dance etc.It’s a more personal and darker collection than my first book ’After the Rain’, which is lighter and more spiritual. It’s darker because it’s written with the frustration of having Aphantasia and not being able to ’see’.Aphantasia affects roughly 1 in 50 people and it means those who have it lack a visual imagination or a mind?s eye that doesn?t see. The inability to ’see’ colours, objects, scenery, or even the words I write is really quite annoying. 3
