Thebook comprises a number of general essays, exploringand challenging common perceptions about suchspecies, and a series of case studies of specific species inspecific contexts. Its geographical coverage ranges fromthe United Kingdom to New Zealand by way of SouthAfrica, India and Palestine; and the essays cover bothhistorical and recent introductions.
