Bartolomeu Braga, famoso Detetive particular Paulista, com trânsito livre nas repartições Policiais deste Estado, bem como em outros Estados, inclusive nos Países limítrofes com o nosso rincão Brasileiro, era acionado, as vezes por Policias, outras por Clientes e ainda Industriais, preocupados com desfalques em suas empresas, com dedução lógica e precisa, apurava com seus meios inusitados as diversas situações apresentadas, sendo que os fatos narrados, se passam durante os anos 1950,desta feita, o presente caso envolve o Clero, mormente ao furto de um turíbulo de ouro, vindo com a Família Imperial, a princípio, utilizado nas celebrações da Capela do Paço Imperial, posteriormente, o objeto sacro foi remanejado para o Santuário Eucarístico de Nossa Senhora da Penha de França, no Bairro que leva o mesmo nome, ou seja Penha, em São Paulo, magnífico edifício religioso, construído em estilo colonial simples, em taipa de pilão, com paredes de 1,20 m de espessura e que serviu de Matriz por muitos anos, foi elevada a Santuário Arquidiocesano de São Paulo pelo 1º Arcebispo, Dom Duarte Leopoldo e Silva, em 20 de julho de 1909.Foi o primeiro Santuário da cidade de São Paulo.Desde o seu início, foi um centro de peregrinação e visitação de habitantes da Capital, de outros lugares e de todas as classes sociais. Esta é a estória da recuperação do valioso Turíbulo e da elucidação do caso.
