Performance art has been the target of curious looks from various fields of human knowledge. Forming a hybrid and trans/interdisciplinary terrain, performance studies in the artistic sphere offer the possibility of producing knowledge with a multifocal lens, opening up spaces for the crossing of diverse epistemologies and broadening the spaces for discussion. This study approaches performance art through the lens of the philosophy of difference, political and critical theory and, above all, studies of subjectivity, presenting in its propositions the elaboration of a thought that has Spinoza, Nietzsche, Bergson, Deleuze and Jacques Rancière as its main interlocutors.
